No. Vera is an independent consultancy and is not affiliated with any embassy, consulate or official visa application centre. Visa decisions are made only by the destination country's authorities.

The visa type depends on the main purpose of your trip: tourism, business meetings, study and family visits are different categories. We identify the right type together in the first consultation.

As a rule, you apply to the country where you will spend the longest time, or, if the stays are equal, the country you enter first. We review your itinerary to confirm the right consulate.

Many consulates ask for certain documents in English or the destination country's language, sometimes as sworn translations. Your personal document list shows exactly which documents need translation.

It depends on the country. For a Schengen visa, for example, the passport must be valid for at least 3 months after your planned departure and have been issued within the last 10 years. We always check your passport before you apply.

We guide you through the appointment process and complete the required steps with you. Appointment dates depend on the application centre and consulate, so no specific date can be guaranteed.

Appointments can be hard to find in busy seasons, so we recommend starting a few months before you travel. Schengen applications can be lodged no earlier than 6 months and no later than 15 days before the trip.
