Which student visa do I need?
The right visa depends on how long you will study and where. In Schengen countries, short language courses of up to 90 days are usually covered by a short-stay visa, while longer programmes require the country's national (long-stay) visa.
The UK, the US and Canada each have their own student routes and rules; for example, a US student visa application requires the Form I-20 issued by your school. We review your programme in the first consultation and confirm which route applies.
What documents are needed for a student visa?
The core document is the acceptance or enrolment letter from your school or university. You will usually also need proof that you can cover tuition and living costs, details of your accommodation, health insurance and evidence of your educational background.
If your parents are paying, their income and bank documents and proof of your relationship are added to the file. We also guide you on which documents need translation and, where required, certification.
When should I start the application?
We recommend starting visa preparation as soon as you receive your acceptance letter. Long-stay visas can take longer to assess than short-stay visas, and appointments fill up quickly before academic terms begin.
We plan backwards from your course start date so that gathering documents, translations and the appointment all happen without a last-minute rush.
